A specific principle of the Minnesota Parents Alliance that I would like to highlight is the reduction of emphasis on school-issued 1:1 devices (e.g., Chromebooks & iPads) in the classroom. I am passionate about this issue because the overwhelming majority of scientific research available to us indicates that the presence of these devices is *not* correlated to learning growth in student math & reading test scores.

Teachers are trained professionals. Losing the human element of teaching, as well as the presence of physical textbooks, is hurting our students. I look forward to working with Minnesota Parents Alliance, if elected, on determining appropriate policy for reducing tech use in MPS, especially with younger grades.
