| My vision for our school district is to build a strong, unified, and forward-thinking community where students, families, educators, staff, and taxpayers feel heard, respected, and valued. A successful district begins with its students. Every student deserves access to a safe, welcoming, high-quality public education that prepares them not only academically, but also to become responsible, compassionate, and contributing members of our community. Strong schools also require strong educators and staff. I want to support responsible contracts, sustainable wages and benefits, and a positive working environment while remaining fiscally responsible to taxpayers. As a board, we must make fact-based, informed, and sustainable decisions. We will not always agree, and healthy disagreement can lead to better outcomes when approached with professionalism, respect, and a willingness to listen. Public concerns and emotions matter, but they should be considered alongside research, financial responsibility, and what is best for the district as a whole. I envision a board that communicates openly, listens before making decisions, advocates for adequate state funding, and works collaboratively. Ultimately, I want a district our students are proud to attend, our employees are proud to work for, our families trust, and our community is proud to call its own. |
